Make sure you don't look at any more Happy Valley threads. Just enjoy it.

Lol! Promise I won't. Will probably start tomorrow...I need something absorbing to get into.

This is a series where spoilers could really spoil it for you...well I think so. Things change and you don't want to be told in a spoiler how they're going to change.
I get confused easily enough...I don't want to encourage it!
Listening to you all, I may even try this one myself. I do like Sarah in most things, no idea why I've never tried HV.
The tv schedule is pretty carp at the moment I'm finding, so maybe tomorrow I'll have a lllok.
Do I need to go right back to the first series to make sense of it?
Question Author
Oh me too! The times we are "following" something and I have to ask Dave...who is she?....what did he do in the last episode....where are they now? :-)
Yes, ferlew, you (and pasta) should start at the very beginning - you can do it here:

It would be best to go back to the first series and watch from there, Ferlew. You need to know what happened to cause everything that follows.
Another newcomer to the programme, I watched the first episode of the first series tonight. I’ll watch on.
Ferlew, Sqad posted in B&S to ask for any follow up :)
I watched the first episode of series one.
It was OK, but didn't inspire me to continue. Does it get more absorbing?
I agree it's best to start from the beginning if you can so you know who the characters are and how they relate to each other.

The problem is, when someone goes overboard about how good a programme or anything is, you may expect too much, so just try to put that out of your mind, and I hope you enjoy it.

Hoppy, for me it did. I don't often get into something where I need badly to follow it and can't wait for the next episode. Dave does more than me but this got me hooked as it went on. The acting was just superb.
Thanks for the heads up Choux, Have replied.
Thamks GG and gness for the recommendation. :)
I'm like that too gness...I need to be grabbed straight away, otherwise I feel "Oh, do I HAVE to watch this??"
I'll try to be patient...promise!
Pasta, I remember when Friends was first shown in this country and my girls saying, 'Oh Mum, you've got to watch this, it's so funny' so I watched it and didn't laugh once, but it grew on me and ended up being one of my favourite shows.
My daughter can happily watch hours of Friends episodes. I've always enjoyed it...first...second...third time around ;)

Happy Valley everywhere, Pasta! We need a no Happy Valley here rule. ;-)
