… will the war escalate into other areas of Europe?

//Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said … the move was confirmation of Germany's involvement in "a war planned in advance" against Russia.

Ambassador Sergei Nechayev said "This extremely dangerous decision takes the conflict to a new level of confrontation," He added it would cause "irreparable damage to the already deplorable state of Russian-German relations". //

According to BBC News last night, there have been murmurs from Russian media that Germany is now a legitimate target.

Stalin killed more of his own side than the war did anyway.
// Stalin killed more of his own side than the war did anyway. //

Nope.
He killed a lot. Estimates vary for both. Stalin killed about 20 million and WWII about 40 million.
The risk of it spreading is not the problem. The problem is the continuous slaughter going on in Ukraine, today, and for the last 12 months.
From the very beginning, Putin gave a speech that he knew would send chills down the spine of the west. Just the mention of a nuclear strike would seed everyone running to their bolt holes, and that's just what happened.

He sees us now to be namby-pamby, let someone else do the dirty work for us, and we, will just sit back and view the daily murder committed from a distance.
Again last night, he hit Ukraine with even more missiles, because no one has got any galls to help them in the way that is needed.
In fairness most of those missiles and all the drones fired last night were zapped.
Two of the missiles fired tho were hypersonic ballistic Killjoy (Russ name Kinzhai) and those will evade detection in all probability until Patriot missiles are integrated into Kyiv's air defence systems.
^^^^ Every death is a tragedy, but just one dead & two people injured isn't very cost effective. Russian missiles aren't cheap, a Kalibr missile costs US $6.5 million. The total cost of the launched projectiles has already reached US $1.482 billion.

A Kh-101 missile costs US $13 million, and a Kh-555 missile, according to open source data, costs US $7.5 million.
Indeed khandro. None of this makes any sense. As if one expected war to make sense of course.
It’s also reckoned Russia has lost more men capturing Soledar than it did in two Chechen wars.
Sheer madness.
Why do we tolerate these idiots for so long? Can't someone close to them bring it to an end? Please.
