A lot of people have one of more veggie days a week, switching from dairy is increasingly popular, chocolate and coffee are common causes of headaches so people avoid them, could say he was ahead of what are rapidly becoming mainstream choices....
Warm biscuits are the least bizarre thing about the whole setup.
He's 74 years old and I'd say entitled to be as fussy as he damn well pleases.

Let's not make an issue of the title word weIRD - I enjoy a play on words and its closeness to thIRD appealed to my sense of humour.
