I was hoping that Sandra meant I looked the dogs rollocks and got confused and called me the dogs dinner instead
I too would like to see Helen in all her finery, but I don't think she'll oblige us on here. :0(
She looked fab at the Guildhall thing. Very elegant.
Oops, sorry Helen, didn't see you there. :0)
Helen looked brilliant in her outfit.

I have just tried reading this thread but I have no idea what's going on.

Please make it a clean fight as I am off to bed and don't want this to be removed before I return.

:-)
Sometimes it's easy for things to get taken the wrong way on here...then again it's usually all too easy to know exactly what's meant. *sigh*

I bet you looked gorgeous too red.
20.58Think I better zip it before I get confused:))
Am glad you’re not going JJ - the amount of times I have had sarcastic answers on my posts, well I’ve lost count!!
Well, it came across as a flounce JJ. If we all posted a thread to announce we were off for a couple of hours, CB would collapse under the strain of those with something better to do.

You specifically pointed out Redhelen earlier. To be fair, JJ, she was not the only person who challenged your views on the dogs being left alone. It is a fair point that unless you were watching for every minute of the day, you cannot be sure (that is me talking from an evidential point of view). I know that is your opinion that they were left alone, but that does not make it fact.

I understand as an animal lover you were upset. I also understand that once we have a view about something it is not always easy to have those views challenged - particularly when we are emotionally involved. However, if you post on an open forum, your views may be challenged. And rightly so. Sometimes it can be helpful NOT to have people agree with you.

Unfortunately, when one types on a forum, the nuances that we may pick up from face to face contact are actually lost - perhaps more so for you because you are used to reading people's faces. You are probably more expert at that than many of us.

I'd be inclined to just dust yourself down and carry on.
Well said Barmaid.......this post has been a complete waste of time, if you can't take criticism, don't post......Simple

God Sadie Lady - I had an aunt Sadie - she was an oul imp too.
Sadielady @21.54,,, Spot on .
But sometimes even the strongest may be unexpectedly hit hard by certain things that might be said. It's rather harsh to say "don't post".
Besides, AB needs its share of softies to make up for those who are hard hearted and do not care how their words affect others.
"Welcome to Chatterbank, the home of natter and nonsense".

Personally I don't think this thread's nonsense - I think it's rather arrogant to declare a thread 'nonsense'.

But even if it is - so what? Some folk need to get over themselves.
If you can't take it back, then don't give it out.
The insults come out with usual suspects. They know who they are , but when the recipient fights back , they go crying to e/d to have the reply removed.

^^^ not me guv, I swerve ya and crying over summat on here is a mugs game, swerve posts that the nasties headline simples :0)))),
