morning, Friday already, The Queens Platinum Jubilee, have you enjoyed it so far, i thought the Trooping of the Colour splendid and the fly past magnificent. I hope you are all in good health and that your day is a good one, do you have anything special planned for today?
apart from my food shop to sort out i have nothing in the calendar, however the weather is set to improve so will likely find a quiet or not so quiet place to have lunch.
is anyone having a street party over the Bank Holiday, if so i hope it goes well and stays dry. I am missing an event on Sunday as i can't walk that far these days, which is a pity as it meant catching up with some friends.
Morning all, sunny here but breezy this morning.......glad you enjoyed the Trooping of the Colour - the lighting of the beacons though was pretty dreadful apart from that tree outside Buck House. The commentary/interviews were appalling - and really, are we now reduced to lighting some little gas-lamp sitting on top of a Calor Gas bottle and a pseudo brass crown that looked it had been bought in a Blackpool or Skeggy tourist-trap shop and had been made in Chengdu.
I thought it grim - and Kirsty Walk-off was not on form....all a bit laboured, not the BBC at its best. Now I hope we don't get any Hugh Edwards gaffes at St Pauls today, unlike his one at the Abbey with Phil's memorial...
