Well done England!
But what about their curling record?
Question Author
The British have only recently won olympic gold at that goalie!
Yeah, but you were posting about England !
The cricket team might be called, "England" but unlike the other two teams, it is not restricted only to those born in England or qualified as English.
The football world cup?

Why is this never mentioned?
Very well done !
The cricket team might be called England

it is, by the English, but its name is the England and Wales Cricket Board
The way the question is written makes it sound like the one England team is multi-talented as opposed to being different sports teams named England.
and favourites for the world bog-snorkelling and conker championships (at which I expect England's Ben Stokes to marmalise the rest of the world's conkers).
The England cricket team

Or as Graham Swann referred to them when he was playing :
South Africa B side ! Lol

Via Google :
South African-born England Test cricketers include Tom Curran, Keaton Jenning, Nick Compton, Jonathan Trott, Matt Prior, Kevin Pietersen, Andrew Strauss, Allan Lamb, Robin Smith
I believe they are Morris Dancing champions too - with bells on!
while Tom Curran was born in SA, his brother Sam, who I think is also in the squad, was born in England. It's a globalised world, but even in the old days, captains Colin Cowdrey and Nasser Hussain were born in India, and Ted Dexter in Italy.

There was an interesting Ashes match some years back when both England and Australia fielded a debutant fast bowler - both of them born in NZ.
maggiebee, may I ask what the DFC on your avatar represents?
The clip where Swanny made reference
Brilliant commentary :

I am guessing "divisive fanatical Celt" at the moment ;)
Dundee fc
Yes royfromaus, Dundee F.C. Once a team to be reckoned with but sadly, like so many others, have lost their way. Have been a supporter my whole life and will die a Dee.

We try not to brag and keep it quiet in case it upsets our neighbours. :-)
