Every Christmas Eve a Polish dad in the village dressed up as Santa and brought a sack of presents to his children.
The children have now started to question why daddy's not in the house when Santa arrives so yesterday dad phoned Dave to ask if he would come to the house as Santa to bring the presents...Dave's our village Santa....and deliver the gifts, if he paid him. Of course he would...but no payment needed at all!
I hid as Dave knocked on the door with his sack of gifts. The joy of the children when the door was opened was tear jerking! Even visiting Polish granny burst into tears.
It was the start of the best Christmas Eve we've had despite the daft pub closing times in Ireland....and Polish dad has gifted us a huge pack of his Polish meats.
Have a lovely day tomorrow everyone....Gx
Maybe, Tony...but I don't think anyone now knows the best advice to give. We were fine with the advice here in Ireland once...but it seems to have gone a bit off the wall of late.
Welcome, Canary...must admit as I hid at the side of the house and heard the whoops and screams from the children when they saw Santa my eyes welled up.
