I don't have a garden as it is paved, but I am thinking of buying some small/medium potted plants to add colour and liven up area.
I totally am not green fingered so would welcome recommendations for plants that need minimum care.
Pots do need more watering, but really, anything you like the look of. I have fuschias (trailing in baskets), acers, bamboos, Heather, geraniums, azalea (doesn't need ericaceous soil, whatever you get told). I would just have a go with what you like...
Befor buying any plants, consider the the aspect, shady, full sun etc, then see what will grow well there.
you will probably find perennials easiest to care for, I like Heuceras personally
I have a variegated Hebe which has attractive leaves all year round and attracts bees when it flowers. Hebes in general are pretty easy. The Pieris is also an attractive plant I think - very colourful. Always check how big a plant is going to grow before you buy and whether it is hardy. The labels give useful information.
Thanks for the recommendations. Am going to a garden centre tomorrow to see if I can get lavender, Lily and heucerus which I like the sound of. Also wild flowers.
