I have done Mastermind with both Magnus Magnus Magnusson and John Humphrys. Magnus was an absolute gentleman. William G. Stewart was really down to earth at the parties after the 15-to-1 Grand Finals. Gordon Burns made sure he knew every Krypton Factor contestant by name and could recognise them when they assembled for the assault course. Robert Robinson was extremely avuncular and made the contestants feel at ease when presenting Brain of Britain.
Dannyk13, you being on winner takes all with Good Ole Jimmy Tarbuck , reminded me that I sent a question in once about number of vertebrae a sparrow has 7 vertebrae in its neck how many does a giraffe have 3, 7 or 15 , got a letter back saying thank you but we won’t be using you question following series they used it cheekily lol , also my old junior school teacher appeared on the show and as others have mentioned he lost it made himself look stupid lol
I have worked as an extra for over 15 years now and been on tv many times and "most" of the celebrities are nice....They are people too and most times talk to us! :)
Only once in 1964.
I "went to stay at a the home of a friend". She "came to stay at my home".
In reality we hitch-hicked to Blackpool to take part in a Young Socialist demonstration.
Unfortunately it was filmed and our parents saw us on television.

Homecoming was painful.
No. My sister has been an extra in a few things. But I'm sure that if I was on WWTBAM or something... I would seriously end up doubting I knew my own name...
We didn't hitch-hick...we hiked....we hicked lots on our return.
I was one of many on a recording of The Bucket Of Water song on Tiswas.

It was in February in Birmingham, and at the end we had to scoop a bucket of water from a fountain, and pour it over our heads. I got flu afterwards.
Right...so you willingly poured a bucket of water over your own head, Hoppy?..... :-)
Baggies fans do that, gness,. Their all doing it right now ;-)
Yes. Why not?

That's showbusiness.
If you've had your hair done and your mascara's not waterproof it's a silly thing to do....baggie fan or show business...x
Was on a Barbara Woodhouse show where she 'trained' problem dogs and we also had a chance to play some games with our dogs like bouncing a tennis ball with a tennis racket while running with the dogs on a lead. Someone once gave me a video recording of it but it got lost in a house move. She didn't talk to anyone apart from the filming crew and her husband, who she treated like a child telling him what to do.
Aaaaahhh, Sally.
Sally was part of the appeal, I admit.

We had applied to be in the cage of adults in the studio, but couldn't get on.
