It's a great show, I admire all the experts

As I said, brainiac, he stands where he is told and talks to who is told to. I have never seen him take credit for the work but I have seen that some of the experts are very glad to have him standing next to them at handover time - two in particular.
Why on earth would any of the experts 'be glad to have him standing next to them at handover time'? I would be severely hacked off at him sharing credit for something I had done.
One thing struck me about the handbag owner. His wife was the spitting image of his mother. Odd since he had no memory of seeing his mother.
i confess that i thought it was an amazing repair, it didn't have me crying but it was very poignant

According to this nobody pays for the repairs, but I wonder how much it would actually cost the people involved- a small fortune I would think.
It's a great programme and the work they do is amazing.
Some of the repairs would run in to four figures. The penny farthing took a full ten days and the leather pouffe could have taken longer. One of the pocket watches took only four hours. If anyone does offer to pay they are invited to make a donation to charity.
Call me cynical but how many people would have been prepared to pay? Lots of those items have been in a very poor state for decades
Brainiac, two of the experts are very shy and not comfortable with strangers blobbing in front of them, especially in front of the tv cameras
Amazing programme that often has me in tears. Now 5 times a week rather than the once
The first few series were 5 days a week on BBC 2 in the afternoons.

the piano automaton was amazing ,they have so much patience
Today's episode has been cancelled. We are being treated to a Covid update instead, which is a bit annoying as this episode has already been postponed for the same thing.
Oh well, it might be shown tomorrow morning, 7.30 BBC2
It's repeated at 8.00pm barry.
^^No, the 8pm is a repeat from earlier series, first shown as a "daytime" programme.
Oh thanks ginge!
That doesn't look right ..
Oh thanks Ginge x
It's a bit confusing having a new daytime series on (early evening and repeating it at 7.30 the following morning) along with repeats from earlier series at 8 pm the same day.
I think the idea is to get people who don't watch daytime TV (like us) interested in the programme...it's worked with us. Never seen it before last week's 8pm repeat....and really enjoyed it.
