It happens. My eyesight dipped suddenly about six months ago. I now have to wear specs. Pain in the rectum.

Perhaps if Covid causes eyesight "confusion" and you are unable to discern the difference between what you see and what is real, surely there is a benefit to having people who are unaffected, who can clarify if you are seeing what you think you are seeing.

In any case, none of us really knows.

Give BoJo and DC the chance to navigate us out of these troubled waters and cut them some bloody slack. I'm sure their day-to-day lives are far more stressful and galling than yours.

Give them some slack?! You must be joking! They're determined to ruin this country and virtually admit as much when they say things like "this will be difficult"; "there will be problems" etc. They know exactly what they're doing when it comes to ruination. They'll ruin this one. Difficult job my armpit. All Johnson does at press conferences is the same as Trump; tells them to ask someone else. Yeh but, yeh but, yeh but.

Funny how interpretations vary. I would interpret that as "We're in a mess, but with some camaraderie and a huge dose of fighting spirit, we'll pull through this together."

Is getting into a car with a young child and driving for a couple of hours the only way to know if your eyes are okay or not?

It's not how I'd decide if my eyes were up to a journey and I can't believe any parent would.
