Just back from usual one mile trip to village.

Off licence empty, got cider and bananas. Yes, it is that type of village where the offy has a veg stall out front.

One other shopper in spar, got paper, fags and a birthday card. Would only let me have two bottles of wine.

Did a fair bit of gardening yesterday. Could'nt be bothered before as I thought, what the heck.

Will carry on to-day.

Keep safe everyone and remember, every day above ground is a good one.

TonyV - I thought you said you'd get your wife's newspaper delivered so you didn't have to go out every day? So what went wrong there?
Such a lovely hot day here in London. I have been out just to do shopping for Easter. Bought so much snacks for hubby as when he's bored he eats!! He wants to do some diy but has not got quite what he needs & all hardware shops shut!!!!
I went to the shop for bread and milk, and saw the notice on the door, "No Food Or Drink Inside."
So I came home.
We walked into the village this morning to post a birthday card. There is no shop in our village so we can't be tempted by anything. After lunch we washed both cars before attending a zoom meeting. Who would ever have thought that one day that would amount to a busy schedule!

We washed our car this afternoon. Mr T loves playing with the Karcher. I did all the hard work, applying the shampoo with a broom. He just rinsed it off.
How can it take half an hour to wash a car and half an hour to wash two garden chairs?
Been ont allotment. Dug hole for wildlife pond, sowed some rocket in a pot, took cornflowers out of cold frame and swore at parsley for not germinating.
Poor parsely!
//and swore at parsley for not germinating.//

You needed hot/boiling water poured on the soil/compost before sowing the seed. Honest. Had a Greenfinch on the Feeder today. I was busy fettling my Begonias(no sniggering at the back), looked up and 3ft away and not at all spooked, a lovely male Greenfinch taking his time on the sunflower hearts.
