Have you ever picked up a really cheap bargain at a boot sale and resold it again at a good profit? If so, what did you buy?

A Zandro Rhodes dress for £3 or so, got enough to take the family out for lunch by selling it.
I once sold a book for 30 times what I'd paid for it in a charity shop!

Unfortunately converting 20p into £6 didn't quite enable me to retire to lead a life of luxury ;-)
Bought a Haynes worshop manual for a pound in Barnardos and flogged it on the bay for about a tenner.
^^^ Filthy capitalists ! :0)
I bought a pair of cuff links in a charity shop for a pound, sold it for 90 pounds at auction.
carboot sale, broken laptops repaired them then resold, £100's
used to do they same with vhs players when they were popular.
Yes lots of times. Best so far paid £1 for an Isle of Wight perfume bottle sold it on Ebay for £125. Bought a Gucci watch as part of a mixed box at auction for £20, paid £45 to have it repaired and sold it for £280 on Ebay. I find there are few if any bargains anymore at Charity shops as the bigger ones now employ people to cherry pick the good stuff and the charity then sells it on Ebay. Also I would find it uncomfortable to make a huge profit out of a charity item.
Forgot to add that all y bargains come from Car Boot sales not charity shops.
I tend to focus on the executives when I'm pondering the plundering of charity funds.
Never bought anything but a friend has got some real bargains
I bought a vase 30 years ago for 50p. Turns out to be a
Charlotte Rheade. Not worth mega bucks but when I took it to the Antiques Roadshow in Oldham, Eric Knowles said it was worth £80. I've still got it but my guess is that it's worth less now, having looked them up on tinternet.
I know what you mean, that Eric Knowles eh...tut.
What is he like
Yes, but it was 20 years ago. As I said, the value then. Taint that now!
Pair of vintage wooden riding boot trees in a boot (No pun) sale £5. They offer for sale on Ebay for £150
I wouldn't put any store in that ebay price, Retro. There is a 50p coin for sale at £2,500. Next to it, the same coin design is on offer for £1.99. I suppose an item is worth what someone is prepared to pay.
