Pineapple

I've just enjoyed eating some fresh pineapple, which made me wonder, what actually is it ?
If its a fruit then surely the fruit would develop in the centre of where the leaves are are at the top.

Diddly mentioned cheese and pineapple but no-one blinks an eye at a cheese board with grapes and apples.

I like sweet and savoury.

It's a fruit, a bunch of merged berries. Unsure there are rules about where fruit should be vis a vis leaves.

Goes really well together. Pork and apple sauce is really nice.

I must be the only one who doesn't like pineapple. Too sharp for me and stings my mouth and I'm not fond of the taste either.

As pizza is Italian for pie anything can be put on it and it is still a pizza.

ladybirder a pineapple should be sweet.....they have improved greatly over the years, they used to be commonly quite sharp and acid enough to burn the mouth and lips but careful breeding has improved them beyond measure.....but if you don't like the flavour then you don't :)
