After his knock back on joining the Marines my lovely eldest son has been given a place at UWE to study paramedic science, he’s already got his A level grades so he can accept his place :)

Thanks all, he was so gutted after being medically deferred from joining the military. He wants to be a HART (hazardous area response team) paramedic - I suppose he craves danger!
Wow, how I wish I had such clear vision at that age! Good for him and congratulations to you for great parenting! I expect most Mums worry about the cooking, but students just eat on the go now, microwaving, takeaways, toast, cereal, he'll be fine....
Awesome sherrardk :-)
You must be proud (I would be...)
Oh well done him! Congratulations Sherr :) x
can he wash up?
well at uni .....

my applied maff project was on washing up. Awful course on maff modelling where the idea was to model cooling of water by dunking dishes into a bowl of hot water....
the idea was to get it down to one variable that causes the cooling. I think I got it down to mass of each plate ......

Got a few issues where this career is concerned :-(

Seriously though, wish them all the very best in their chosen careers!
That’s excellent news, Sherr. He’s certainly a determined young man.
Brilliant news Sherr, chuffed for him (and you!!) xx
Well done him. X
I had one of those, Sherr.....she came to me one day and said......I'm looking at becoming a volcanologist, Mum........Lovely....I replied hoping she'd change her mind.....she sort of did but still went on to do dangerous things..... :-(

Thank you all (I do appreciate the good thoughts so much as there’s not really anyone to share the highs and lows with)
Says a lot that they are choosing pathways that while dangerous are about helping or protecting others. Well done I suspect very good parenting lies behind this
Excellent news Sher. Good for him. He would then qualify for RAMC. with a commission.
