This is a lovely story, proving that guide dogs are not just for humans.

What a special friendship, lovely.
Well done to Jess for taking him on and well done to Toby for looking after him. So lovely.
Lovely story, thanks marval :-)

That's brilliant, what a great partnership they have.
That was such a nice story. Staffies are great dogs, they always look happy and smiley.

Animals could teach us so much, if we took the time to listen.
Animals are so caring.
Wonderful story..
my father's dog used to take his girl friend ( the dog's doggie girl friend) for a walk. Penny was blind and had a bell, and he would bark outside the house for her to be let out.
walking up the street - clearly it wasnt oxford circus or they would have lasted 5 s - pavement-curb-penny-dog
the dog would use its shoulder to keep Penny walking in the curb gutter

men in smocks and straw in their mouths would gather and say - aaaah the darkter's darg is taking penny for a wark !
no I made the last bit up
Ah but you painted a beautiful bucolic scene Peter.
Dunno why but a picture of 'The Haywain' by Constable came to mind when I just read your post, pp.
PP why didn't your dog not let Penny walk on the pavement? What was the bell for?

I'm off to bed - Frankie is swearing and nagging at me in Cat language and I must obey.

:-)
Awwww PP that’s beautiful!!
Susan, Frankie will be meowing for his breakfast in 2 hours time ;-)
Tony - he lasted three hours :-)
