Traitor Blair?

Tony Blair has been accused of “unacceptable” behaviour after it emerged he has been briefing Emmanuel Macron on how to force Britain to stay in the EU.

The former Labour prime minister believes that if the EU stands its ground over the Brexit deal, Parliament will cave in and accept a customs union - which would keep Britain yoked to Brussels - or a second referendum that could cancel Brexit altogether.

Sources in Paris confirmed to The Telegraph that Mr Blair had been speaking to the French President about Brexit.

He is reported to have told Mr Macron to “hold firm” and wait for events to play out in London that end in Britain staying in the EU.

Peter Bone, a Eurosceptic Conservative MP, said: “It is totally unacceptable for a former prime minister to go around the heads of European countries and undermine the Government’s position. I’m not sure we could find another time in modern history when this has happened.

I didn't say whether I was for Brexit or against - what I am against is the repression of free speech, more than evident than some of the hot air on here.....bully-boy tactics won't work on me, Crystall...
Nothing like a bit of good news though. Regardless of the traitorous machinations of our own EUSSR hand rags, the "project" pyramid scheme is doomed anyway. The people of the UK can once again take credit in taking down a monstrous dictatorship spawned and raised on the European mainland that was designed to enslave them all.

//The polling for Germany’s Bild shows that pro-EU parties could struggle to form a coalition in the European Parliament. Voters were recently asked about their voting intentions in France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and Austria.
Those set to benefit include the nationalist Europe of Nations and Freedom Group. It includes the likes of France’s Marine Le Pen and Austria’s Freedom Party the group could collectively surge up from 37 to 67 MEPs.
In three countries nationalist Eurosceptic forces are set to finish in first place, including Le Pen’s National Rally in France, Italy’s Lega and Poland’s Law and Justice party.
The European group containing Angela Merkel’s party meanwhile, the European People’s Party, is forecast to drop 43 seats and go down to 174.
These findings back up another recent report that forecast Eurosceptics to win more than a third of all seats in the EU Parliament. Lega, led by Matteo Salvini, could see their numbers rise dramatically from 6 to 29 MEPs.
The report by the European Council on Foreign Relations said: “The vote could see a group of nationalist anti-European political parties that advocate a return to a ‘Europe of the nations’ win a controlling share of seats.
“Their ability to paralyze decision-making at the center of the EU would defuse pro-Europeans’ argument that the project is imperfect but capable of reform.”
Euroscepticism is spreading and growing all over the continent now. Where Brexit Britain leads, many others will follow. And if British MPs are stupid enough to force the UK to take part in European Elections in May, expect a bloodbath for the establishment.//
Tony Blair - yet again showing that he is a 'weapon of mass destruction'.
"Brexit is no more than a vanity project now,..."

So nobody really wants to leave, then?
Free speech is more useful to some than to others. Those who have easy access to the media and to people on the world stage certainly make use of it.

No, not come across it, but then I was never a Para.

Shouldn't that be "while lowering head into sand?"

Your naivety is beyond belief, of the many links to George Soros' funding for the remainer's cause, I selected this one at random;

Never really classed Blair as a Traitor. Now David Cameron, that's a different Story, he is a real Traitor.
//Peter Bone can help get Brexit through by voting for Theresa May’s deal.
It’s people like him who are threatening Brexit, not Tony Blair, Emmanuel Macron or anyone else.//

Guess what,he voted against in Round 2, surprise surprise....

I don't remember questioning whether George Soros supports the EU, but I did suggest that the leave campaign was heavily funded by Russia. I won't hold my breath waiting for evidence to refute that, or that the US are rubbing their hands with glee and boasting that they will force us to accept substandard produce as the price for a trade deal.

Watch your no deal leaders backing away from their project while trying to save face. Gove has signed himself out of any future position of influence, and Rees-Mogg has a face like a smacked 'orse as he mumbles his slogans.

I take no delight in any of this. The country has been damaged by two years of demanding unicorns. I doubt I will live long enough to get that back if the whole Brexit idea is buried tomorrow. A few rich men thought it would be fun to impress their latest girlfriend, or nanny, by showing how little they cared about this country, or else as a jape to cheer up their German family. It's the rest of us who bear the cost.

How on Earth did that work? Who funded whom? Are you suggesting for example, that Nigel Farage is financed by Moscow?

Are you sure you are taking your meds as prescribed?

Don't you follow the news? You didn't question the US bragging about dumping unfit food on us in exchange for a trade deal, so I am going to assume you are aware of something outside your cosy circle at least.

Channel 4 News are keeping on top of it. It's on Channel 4 most days, 7-8, although I can't guarantee they will do updates on Farage's funding source every day.
