Why do people correct their typos when it is obvious wvhat is meant.?

If it was on a written page and was to be sent to another person and it was something like a job application I could see the point .

However on a forum like this where it is clear what is meant I just don't see the point

I would see the point if it was for example to do with a medical or safety matter ,where the typo would have serious consequences

Anyway it's not important , I was just curious
