Have just read through all 49 replies to a question about favourite films. My question is - how many people actually read through all the replies to these posts and how many are just happy to get there tuppence worth in?

If it is something that interests me I will read the whole thread. In news I usually just put what I want to say.
If it's a question regarding opinions then I will more likely scroll through looking at the people I 'know'. If it's something where I might learn something like 'how do I?' And the subject interests me then I'll read them all.
i generally read through all the posts, whether they be about film or News, its interesting to get your view point across, shame that others just want their tuppence worth.
If I'm going to take part in a thread I read all the replies.

It is patently obvious many ABers (even those with most to say) don't.

I must admit to skipping many of PP's replies.
if I am going to comment then I will read all the threads...seldom visit news or religion as it can get very heavy and make for laborious reading ...

oh! I read all of Talbot's .... not that I am much wiser for it.

I read all of Talbots because way back when he said that he cd understand all my scripts and cdnt see why people whined so much about them - - - but I must have skipped thro that answer and it must have been someone elses.

I mean yeah - - "I dont see many films twice" - and "if you want 4% return on your money it is either letting or shares" are both really really hard to understand
oh after the initial shock of Mary Poppins ( supercalifragilistic ...) Sound of Music ( how do we solve a problem like diarrhoea ) and that er other one

I did actually go thro them - and er didnt really meet one that I wanted to see again....

but you know o god the daily brexit threads of a year ago - are you seriously asking if anyone read them all day after day ? all identical all .....

''I must admit to skipping many of PP's replies''

I start to read them. Then read them again. Then copy them in to Google Translate. Then give up.
If I'm interested in something, I will read all the replies so that I don't repeat what someone has already said. If what I want to say has been said, I don't bother posting.

If I've come late to a long thread I either read them all before I post or admit I haven't read them all - or at least go backwards to see where it started to turn juicy,
If my life depended on it I couldn't honestly name my single favourite film.
I too try to read all of the posts before answering except PP. I only read his posts if they are one sentense or less...rare

Nor do I spath...I don't read his posts ;-)

I understand most of what PP has to say, and it's pretty knowledgeable. I looked at other replies before posting one, as well, but that's because it was an interesting thread
