And why aren't the right out protesting at the result like the left do when they dont get their own way?

It's not an over-generalisation.

An over-generalisation would be this statement:

Young people are all left wingers.

However, it's true to say that left wing politics (and liberalism) is far more attractive to younger people.

In many social attitudes, younger people veer away from older people.

It's also true to say that older people lean more to the right than the left in many social attitudes.

Do you disagree with that?

Are you saying that the split is 50/50 in all age groups, or that all age groups veer to the left or right?

I think you have some very valid points there SP.

It now appears some think that a comment immediately after the election is 'sour grapes'. if it continues it will be but I think the following couple of days are acceptable for comment. Riots of course are not, neither are protests and name calling.
