I know Eurostar/Euro tunnel are different companies but they are both trains right?

Eurostruns passenger services (just people, not vehicles) through the Channel Tunnel.

When Eurostar strike you will need to travel in a lorry or car if you need to cross.

TTT....There is only two ways of getting to France through the Channel Tunnel...one is take the Eurostar, and the other is take the Eurotunnel Shuttle.

the channel tunnel is owned and operated by Eurotunnel, who also operate the vehicle shuttle trains.

eurostar is the high-speed "3 capitals" service and is operated by Eurostar International, which is jointly owned by SNCF, SNCB and London & Continental Railways, and who purchase operating "slots" via the channel tunnel from Eurotunnel.

Eurostar and Eurotunnel are separate trading entities. it is Eurostar who are in dispute, and only their services will be affected.
