Proper gravy made with the meat juices and the addition of some cornflour and lots of love.
2) bar soap and we always had a bath cube in the bath!
3) blouses for the girls and shirts for the boys..
Made our own.

didn't have a shower, so soap.

Vests, or short sleeved shirts.
I remember when I was little I thought I'd help my Nan and wash up some dishes while she was making dinner. She turned round to get the tray of meat juices to make the gravy and ......yep it was in a sink of soapy water. She almost cried - I felt terrible!!
How was gravy made if you had no meat juices to use?
Mum made her own!

Shower, we had no shower!

Mum always dressed me in dresses.
I don't remember a time without t-shirts, personally. Whenever you see film of times gone by, the boys are wearing button -up shirts and the girls are wearing dresses.
I lived in jeans and tee shirts.

My mum made her own gravy but I can't remember how she made it if there wasn't a fresh joint of meat out the oven.

I don't remember when shower gel came into daily use. I still often use soap though.
Well....in the 50's and 60's, showers were something you had at School, after rugger and PE. I can't recall any of my friends having showers in their homes, as we didn't in mine. I use a shower when I am staying I my caravan, and I sometimes use shower gel then, but just as often as I use soap. At home I have a bath and use soap.

( does anyone remember soap-on-a-rope ! )

T-Shirts been around for all of my life and that is now 63 years, plus 3 days !

Not sure about gravy granules. My Mum always used Bisto and gravy browning. I make gravy very rarely these days, but when I do I use granules.
mikey; one of these hangs in my shower;
