I think I'd quite like something like that, but not for that price. I went to a party the other day and all the other women there had loads of sparkly jewellery on. I felt a bit bare with my solitary silver ring.
I rather like that but I don't think it would suit me. Then again how many times is a seven year old going to wear that.

The ex and I once met a couple in the Amstel in Amsterdam, the head concierge introducing us, the couple from New York. Her ring wasn't far short of this - and absolutely stellar, more of a square cut, but flawless....a serious investment stone around 2.5 carats.... Probably the most beautiful stone that I have seen, large, yes but not humongous.

Probably brilliant cut. Wouldn`t be too bothered about the size - just as white as possible and a reasonablly large stone.

As long as you were happy, jo, in what you had on.....

If you want a stone, please, please, go and buy wholesale.....1/3rd the price of retail and I am sure there are a few of us ABers who have various contacts around the world.....most wholesalers deal at the international market plus 5 to 10% mark-up...and that is a serious discount versus retail.
I go for emeralds myself - not that I've ever been rich enough (or landed a bloke rich enough) to get them. Being an August birthday, I've settled for Peridots instead - not that I have any of them either :((((
^^^ I do have some pearls, reflecting my name.
Question Author
ditto the market for emeralds, jourdain, clarity (no bubbles or cracks) and then intensity of colour
Being Taurean an emerald is my birthstone but I've never managed to see one I could afford.
