I have just returned from a cruise on Cunard's Queen Victoria and on board was the
author & ex politician Jeffrey Archer who was giving a series of talks, he was introduced
on to stage by the cruise director as ''LORD'' Jeffrey Archer but I thought that once you
had served a prison sentence you were stripped of your title, is this correct?

No. He is still The Right Honourable The Lord Archer of Weston Super Mare.
Lord Ahmed has also served a prison sentence, as has Conrad Black who is Lord Black of Crossharbour.
I'm sure they're called other things as well..........

Thank you for your answers hc4361 - in my humble opinion it's about time these
crooks were stripped of their titles to stop them cashing in on it.

Sadly once a title is given it can't be taken away only given up....as done by Anthony Wedgewood- benn who became tony benn after ceding his title
