I have absolutely no idea where or how it came about, but I simply do not have the TV on in the daytime Mon - Fri. I just do not put it on until 6pm lol. Weekends don't count lol. I know it's silly, and there is no logical reason for it, but my brain says if I have the tv on then I'm being lazy lol. Please don't tell me it's just me!!

Not just you.

I'm the same, Smow - but have to have the radio on

Thank god for that lol! Yes I put Alexa on and pick a radio station/music to have on in day......

Radio on most of the time. TV never on until about 6.30-7pm...it never has been. Not at all interested in anything that's on.

Have never ever seen any breakfast television - who puts their TV on at that time, although some must do.

I don't watch daytime television but record programmes from other channels - Criminal Minds, films I fancy and watch them during the day. No adverts either as I fast forward through them.

A friend has his TV on all day whether he's watching it or not. I do watch lunchtime news & maybe a film in the afternoon but I switch off otherwise.

^I know people who do...on first thing and never off, even if nobody is in the room. Would drive me spare!

The radio is usually on all day - even when i'm out because, apparently, it prevents the guy in the avatar from yapping - mainly as background noise. Tv goes on for the channel 4 news at 7pm, unless i'm watching racing or football.

My friend also puts her tv on the second she wakes up, and doesn't turn it off until bedtime.

We don't watch TV during the day either - unless there's a rugby match on at the weekend or something special.  Radio 4 goes on when we sit down to breakfast and burbles away for most of the day.  I always leave it on for the dog when we go out anyway.  OH has just turned the TV on to watch pointless and then the news.

So you are definitely not alone. 😀

TV in the morning is better than the earnest drone of Womans Hour sucking the life out of any given room.

Never been able to watch tv during the day.  If there is something on that I want to watch I record it.

I don't watch TV until around 10:00 PM, and then it's something streamed on Amazon or other streaming service. I cancelled my TV licence three years ago and have never regretted it.

I cancelled Amazon Prime and don't regret it - especially as there will be adverts from February.   I refuse to sit through adverts

We had Prime on at my daughters and there were ads.

I don't watch daytime telly on the weekend but am hooked on Homes Under the Hammer...and may watch some afternoon stuff. It's company.

A lot of people are on their own, lonely, disabled or ill. What's wrong with them watching daytime TV. ? I never put a radio on.  Can't stand the rubbish they call music these days. Screeching and wailing. But it's each to his own and if  a person wants to watch  day-time tv ,why not ?  It would seem though that even if some people don't watch tv  during the day they still have to have noise from their radios.

I dont put my TV on till 7pm when i like to settle down, although it does go on for 45 minutes at lunch time, i watch 'Bargain Hunt' whilst i eat my lunch.

My dog doesn't really like it on, at 7pm when it goes on for the evening he goes and lies in the kitchen.

why is TV bad and radio good??

There is nothing wrong with watching daytime TV if that is what you want to do.

I don't want to, it's as simple as that
