??? Don't understand this......
Natural History would be my choice.
NHM I'd say.
Natural History by a long way IMO
NHM without a doubt.
Another vote for NHM from me
NHM for the saucepan.
NHM or Science Museum (lots of buttons to press and knobs to twiddle!)
NHM - the dinasaur section is brilliant.
A rough scale of interest level for an 11yo when visiting the South Kensington Museums:

Science Museum: 10/10 (especially if you book for Wonderlab).

Natural History Museum: 7/10 - but it's important to be selective with regard to which galleries you visit. Some are really boring for kids but others are totally fascinating.

V&A: 3/10 - but there are still a few galleries that are worth a look with kids.

Note that the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum both require you to book (free) entry tickets online in advance of your visit. (Although general admission is free, some of the best exhibits require you to pay. Visitors to Wonderlab need to book both entry tickets to the Science Musem and to Wonderlab. Check the museums' website for information about other exhibits which require payment).

There's no need to book for the V&A though, so you can go to the Science Museum or the Natural History Museum first and then, if you feel like it, just wander across the road to the V&A).
NHM.
If you wanted to make a real day of it there's a V&A in Dundee now, at Discovery Point. :-)
What's at the V&A?
For Hoppy:

The best bits for kids are probably the costume exhibits, showing how people dressed in the past.

buen, could you look at the next q too?
thanks evreryone
Neither. Take a tour of the sites on an open top bus https://www.getyourguide.co.uk/london-l57/london-kids-bus-tour-t389996/

Or take a boat trip on the Thames, go on the London Eye, up Tower Bridge, see Lion King, save the museums until he has a specific interest of his own.

nice ideas but 1) it's going to be crappy weather and 2) done most of that already and 3) theatre is kind of out as i'd need a thurs matinee and she's currently in a wheelchair with her leg stuck out in front of her :)

also 4) i'm poor this month

To my shame I had never been to the National Gallery or the British Museum until last year. Wow, just wow. I was like a 12-year-old again.
Question Author
we also went to the national gallery and i challenged my friend to find a single paintig where someone was smiling: no luck!
