I thought we left six months ago.
getting up early Bobbi is making you a little stir crazy - lol
Jack, it is the end of the transition period.
is it... where did the time go.
It's the EU settlement scheme that has its deadline tonight, for those EU citizens that want to continue to live in the EU. It doesn't affect anything else, we left the EU six months ago
The transition period ended last year, six months ago
Barry is correct.
Never mind, there’s the end of the NI protocol transition period to keep you going :-)

your'e right Emmie, getting so early has frazzled my brain haha, good job I didn't put it in News , can you imagine ????
Yes, tomorrow morning will see the start of a massive rounded up where all those who have not applied to remain here will be rounded up and expelled. The authorities originally believed there were around 2.5m people from the EU living here. More than 5m have applied for settled status and some estimates put the total yet to apply at more than 3m. Better book some seats of the ferries.
no wonder London is like living in a foreign country now.
haha - no one will be expelled. Dream on!
You mean you haven't noticed the effects of Brexit, the release from the chains of the EU bully boys, since we left 6 months ago, Bobbi?
//haha - no one will be expelled. Dream on!//

My tongue was firmly wedged in my cheek, dave.
The OED lists a new definition of 'common knowledge' as 'not the truth, in any way, shape or form'.

Apart from them stamping their clogs and trying to get their own way over the AstraZeneca Barry. No not really
There you go it is a special day after all :-)

Hopefully no one will be expelled.
My daughter's Italian partner took British citizenship last year so he could stay.
Think this post was more about which planet someone lives on ,more than which Country they live in.
In 2018 I was in a reablement home and one of the carers was a Romanian. We were talking one day and he said he had a bar in Spain when the financial crash happened. He lost everything so decided to come to England. I said something about his passport and he said he didn't have one. I asked him how he had got into the country and he said he showed his EU citizen card, 'freecom of movement in Europe'. When I said we weren't part of the Schengen agreement, he just shrugged and said that was how he got here. I imagine there are plenty more stories like that. That and the fact the ONS lies about all figures.
