morning everyone, another early start but its light already and the day is underway.
I hope that you are all well and that you have a good day whatever you may be doing.
I'll be off to bed very soon. (I just need to finish this beer first though!).
The forecast looks dull but dry (both here in East Anglia and for you in London), so not too bad, I suppose. (Not that it really matters that much anyway, as I'll probably spend most of the daylight hours in bed. At least I shouldn't get jumped on by a soaking wet cat anyway!)
I hope that your day goes smoothly. Have you got anything planned?
i have to make an early trip to the Post office but that's done in 15 to 20 minutes, by the time i get there and back. If i go at 9am that leaves the day free to catch up on a few things. and then later to watch Wimbledon.
how are you Chris...
The only thing I think that I might possibly be doing later on (i.e. possibly in the evening) is going around to a mate's house to set up the 'new' (i.e. refurbished) computer and printer that I've ordered for him. (The computer should be delivered to his house today and his printer is on the back seat of my car). He's highly intelligent but not at all tech-savvy.
I'm fine, thank you. (I'm actually feeling quite good because I had a telephone consultation with my cancer consultant on Monday. He told me that my recent blood test result was very good and that he'll call me again in three months. So, fingers crossed, everything seems to be going well in that respect).
bit like me, not especially tech savvy, i had hoped you would look in yesterday as my Google Mail in Microsoft Edge has gone awry, i did post on it in technology if you had time to look.
apart from lack of sleep, im ok thank you, i tend to nod off halfway through a programme, generally later on, but have to keep my eyes and ears open for a courier who didn't turn up the other day.
how are the puss cats these days.
I did see that thread but Chelle7272 had already provided what should be the correct solution. (i.e. clear the cache in Edge). I would have expected that to work. If it doesn't, you'll need to reset Edge to its 'out of the box' state by following the instructions here:
https://malwaretips.com/blogs/reset-microsoft-edge/
I seem to get around any 'lack of sleep' problems by simply allowing myself to sleep for as long as I like (which can often be for 12 hours, or even longer). Then, when I'm awake, I'm really awake, without the slightest hint of drowsiness at all.
The moggies are all fine, thank you, and bullying me as much as ever ;-)
i am not sleeping well of a night, waking every few hours now, whilst i did have a time when i would sleep through, it seems as though my body clock is set to wake early now once its light.
For the past seven years though, apart from when I've been in hospital, I've rarely, if ever, managed more than two hours of continuous sleep at a time. The cats see to that ;-)
I recommend my system, of just sleeping whenever one feels like it and for however long one feels like it.
The only time a problem arises for me is when I've got to be doing something (like going for a doctor's appointment or simply getting to the launderette while it's open) during 'normal' hours. Then getting up at a 'normal' time feels like getting up in the middle of the night for someone else!
Oh well, I've finished that beer. (It was just a single can of Stella - I've not been drinking all night!). I've finished a bedtime coffee (decaff, of course) too, so it really is time for me to call it a day/night, I think.
