Download and install 'Pop-up Stopper' from http://www.download.com It's a beauty of a software. It runs on the principle that only one Explorer window should be open at a time. However, if you need to open more than one Explorer windows at a time, simply keep the 'Ctrl' or 'Shift' button pressed while clicking on a link leading to a new window OR while opening a new window on your own. A very simple and superb programme, it's icon resides in your System Tray and you can even disable it by double clicking on this icon.
