My boyfriend just bought a DVD online and is trying to play it on my JVC DVD player but it won't work, is there a way to make the DVD player not notice?

goto google and type in the model number of your dvd player followed by the word hack and see what it finds

Thanks! It talks about using DVDs for the 'hack' but my boyfriend says there are remote control codes for this.
