Is this a land line?
Question Author
yes it's a land line
Does anybody else have access to it?
Why not change your phone to one where you can set a security code to prevent anyone else using it. There are plenty of inexpensive ones on the market.
get it stopped (outgoing calls)
if it's a land line ... who has access to your phone...?
is there anywhere the wire feeding the phone could be intercepted?

what do you expect BT to do? ... 80% of premium call fraud is down to someone living in the house
the rest is blocks of flats when the line is intercepted.
