Wasn't Pointless - was Tipping Point...
(They weren't the brightest stars in the firmament tho.)

You're right shoota, my mistake.
Do I get to put a counter in the machine then?
shoota can we proof correct that to

a programme I think it is ----- pointless to watch ?

£15 000 tonite - last night - Geology - nope night before - I got ordovician as a pointless one
and of the "-zoics" only proterozoic was pointless ( someone therefore said mesozoic and caenozoic which made me gape)

Railways - someone got down to one last night -

I watch it and do AB at the same time which probably accounts for some of my wonky answers
er sorry I did a pointless answer
no - no

I did an answer which I now find is - - - - pointless
not Shoota - Maggie I meant
I tried to be charitable and accept that the stress of being in the studio may make the mind freeze, but I did keep being reminded of a certain Jim Carrey film.
There was an even better one on The Chase tonight:

Q - The didgeridoo is a traditional instrument from which country?
A - Denmark.
MAGGIE, to be fair, you couldn't even mind on the right name of the programme you had just been watching.

It was the pressure, TCL ...
This was a question on Pointless recently:

He was shot in Dallas by Lee Harvey Oswald.

Answer given - JR. :o)
dont be mean
the geology one - they didnt get
she said plurassic - as well as Jurassic (50%)

( but triassic and liassic seem not to have been pointless - there are only two places in england wiv liassic - Lyme Regis and somewhere in Yorkshire)
Tipping point....
I do not know these quiz shows. But I have seen similar.

Really thick people get simple questions wrong.
Yet Tens of millions of viewers tune in everyday to watch the dullards fail.
Not sure who is the most dumb, the people getting the questions wrong, or the twits who keep on watching despite its awfulness.
I just can't believe that people can be so judgemental!!

If someone doesn't know the answer they don't know the answer. That doesn't make them thick or stupid.

Or they could know the answer if they were sitting from the comfort of their armchairs!
Seems like there are many on here that should increase there savings by appearing on these shows and really showing us how it's done.

Here's one for you: Where should you use a question mark?
I passed the audition to go on Countdown recently but changed my mind when I saw the re-runs of all the champions. I scored hopelessly against them, so I ducked out! I think they only passed me cos they thought I'd be a decent loser. Good innit!?
Use a question mark where you think it belongs.
10Clarion, you should have gone on! They have a few superbrains on from time to time, but I reckon even I could beat most of the others.
Use a question mark after a written question.
