Not been able to drive out since being sent home from work Thursday lunchtime and Friday is usually shopping day. We have 3 slices of bread, about a cup of milk and disastrously run out of tea. Cat food and ciggies will run out tomorrow, Anyone else running short on essentials?

Ain't got any Brillo pads :-)
no, my milkman made it to us :) ( well she's actually a milkwoman)
i'm down to my bast lottle of scotch

Life continues as normal here. A little bit of snow shouldn't stop us.
Nope knew the weather was gonna be bad stocked up ..pop around if your desperate x
Made own bread..Have plenty skimmed long life milk...also powdered if needed... don't smoke and freezer packed tight... just a few weeks back bought zillions of tea bags on offer from tetley... but no papers !!
We never run out of anything as my husband is obsessed with stocking the cupboards, freezers and pantry.

I could murder an Indian though but I'll just have to do without.

:-(

It's no tea in the morning that's the major issue. My road is undrivable.
Lol what's an Indian done to you xxx ;-)
I had to trek out to buy some wine this morning. The shop is just down the road, but it knackered me walking there and back falling all over the place. OH needs some bread but I'm not going out again. He'll have to go without, or get it himself which he definitely won't.
Not run out of anything, and if I did I would use an alternative.
No big deal.
Prudie, do you have coffee, hot chocolate ?
Can you not walk to the corner shop?

OH did walk to our nearest shop today but it was a mile and half round trip and they had no milk or bread. We didn't know then about the tea! We're not used it down here Minty :-)

anne I don't drink coffee and can you believe I found 2 tins of cocoa in the cupboard. One ran out in 2007 and the other 2013. The shame of it !
I'd guess that not all corner shops are open. We're lucky as the local shopkeeper lives above the shop, so he has no excuse for not getting to work. He's very good. All shelves are stacked, not like some of the supermarkets.
I wouldn't worry about use by dates on drinking chocolate, unless it smells bad or is moving.
Well, I think OH needs a wee walk to the local shop tomorrow. :-) As for the hot chocolate , there are something's best not shared on AB . :-)
Have you got a friendly neighbour who might give you some teabags? Or do a swap with something? We are ok for now- I think.
Don't people do panic buying any more!? It's not as if the weather wasn't predicted a week in advance.

Just Darwinism in action, I'm afraid. The forward-thinking will survive, the improvident will run out of tea and die.
