I have finally tracked one down, and I have to say that I like it !

Its crisp and clean, and you can see through it !

I have just dunked mine in the sink, given it a pat down with a towel and its good as new !

Try putting 5 or 6 together, you'll find its not easy to carry them in your pocket. I haven't owned a wallet for more than 30 years and carry them that way, bloomin nightmare!

I have folded it up and put it behind my iphone, in its case, as my "emergency" £5:00 !

Elina....keep trying....mine come from the village Post Office.
Thery`ve had plastic money in Australia for years. They are better though - the old fivers were short in circulation and became very tatty.
All notes will be plastic by 2020. Gives a new slant to the phrase, 'paying by plastic'.
Haven't found any in our area yet - I think people are hanging on to them as they get them, as a novelty!
I remember the same when the 'ten bob bit' came out.
Had a few come thorugh my till at work, and agree, they're nice and 'clean' looking :-)

That being said, yesterday I also had a new looking 'old' fiver as well.
