Using bluetooth dongles, can i connect 2 pc's and use my broadband on both at the same time?

Do i need software to do this ? any help would be gratefully accepted, keep it simple for me tho

Yes, in short, it is possible, but you'd be much better off with Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g) as it has a larger bandwidth.

There is a selection here. Bear in mind that for both computers to use the internet, the computer that is physically connected to the internet will have to be turned on.
If that seems like a pain, the alternative is to get a wireless router, which essentially does the same thing, but the main computer doesn't need to be on.
