1St Day Of The Week.

Until about 10 minutes ago i always thought that Monday was the 1st day of the week, however apparently it's Sunday (according to various websites). Sunday is part of the weekend not the weekbeginning and then there is all that talk of God resting on the 7th day ( i.e Sunday). Is it just me or did anyone else think it was Monday too?

Well it's the start of my working week and at work we start the days of the week song with Monday, too. You can't argue with the days of the week song....

Sunday. Monday is often day 1 in business though (airline timetables being an example)

I only realised it was Sunday while helping my 5 year old with her homework. Perhaps i should have paid more attention at school! Thanks for the link Tonyav x

Muslim countries have Friday off, so I guess to then it is Saturday.

Yes, tony, Jews have Saturday; well, some of Friday and most of Saturday; as the Sabbath. Since they invented the story, it is only right that we call Saturday the seventh, and Sunday the first, day.

I thought it was Sunday, at least that is the Christian sabbath.
