I have Flash Player on my computer and have had for a few years. However, websites that I now visit keep telling me I don't have it, or at least they can't detect it which is quite annoying! What can have happened to have rendered it undectectable, and what can I do about it?

Uninstall Flash Player. Restart your PC. Reinstall Flash Player from here:

Had the same prob myself.Do as chico says UNINSTALL.
