Hello there, I get messages on screen saying that Adobe will not support Flash Player after 31 December and I should remove Flash Player now. Does this make sense? I am not aware of using Flash Player and am not too sure what Adobe does apart from letting me view films. Grateful for advice.

This has been known for at least three years. Most websites have stopped using Flash and you won't notice any difference. There are some games that still use Flash but they haven't been updated or supported for a long time if you play them - tough. You won't be able to from January but that will be a rare occurrence. I saw something similar.
Remember having to download Adobe Flash to see videos.
Hopefully it's obsolete and we don't need to replace it with something.
Someone will be along to explain hopefully.

Adobe seem to use the same format as the Daily Mail in repeating the same information over and over but fail to conclude.

Use this tool to see if you have Adobe Flash on your pc and if you do - remove it as it a security issue

Thanks all, the vid was great as was the 'best answer'. I understand now. Thank you again.
Although flash is not harmful to your computer if you aren’t using it. You don’t really need to uninstall it
Mine says it's disabled. That'll be OK, will it?
Yep disabling is all you need
When I got the message I just shrugged an uninstalled.
If one has a favourite old game though, I can understand wanting to keep it running anyway. For as long as the operating system allows.
"Asking the real questions here: is Adobe Flash Player Safe? I would wager to say “no”; there have been far too many malicious attacks using Adobe’s Shockwave Flash for deployment and dissemination of malware.

Regarded mostly as a vulnerability rather than a practical software development, Adobe announced in early July 2017 that it will discontinue support for Flash Player by the end of 2020."

". The only issue was that Flash has some major security issues that are incredibly easy to take advantage of, and as time went on, Flash became notoriously known as the entry point for many a security breach. Annoying ads, backdoor malware installation, and data collection have found their ways onto many a PC thanks to the holes in Flash’s security."

This is why so many browsers automatically disabled it and you had to give it permission to run. Uninstall it from all your browsers
Yes, Adobe is ending its support to flash by the end of this year. Most of the browser has messaged its user about it. But no need to worry as there are various alternatives that can be used instead of Flash.
Cillit Bang?
Naheed, I played an online game using Flash Player, is there an alternative for that ?
