AVG 8.5 free edition

ave recently installed this and it's working fine EXCEPT whenever I try to open google or anything I get a whole page sayiong AVG sucessfully installed and a big green arrow going to the toolbar. it's stopping me getting into my progs and driving me mad. How can I stop this appearing everytime without uninstalling AVG which I want. Thank you.

If you take the defaults when installing AVG it also installs a toolbar, so you need to get rid of the toolbar.

Uninstal AVG and reboot.

Then reinstall AVG, but this time take the "custom" option during install.

When you get to the screen about instaling a toolbar deselect it.

That should get round your problem.
