Can anyone help a complete computer idiot ?
I always download a couple of crosswords from the web which are in Pdf format. When I try to do this today my computer freezes ,they won't load and I have to log off and restart. The Adobe reader thingy is obviously not working . Tried a systems restore but that doesn't do anything either .I have no idea how to download another reader and am missing my Spectator crossword fix !
We use Firefox .
Any ideas ..thank you .

hahahahahahahaha...oh lordy I've spluttered chs on tst all over the place...that's so funny Kit, you rotten so and so...I know you were trying to be reassuring, it's much appreciated really, so if you want to know what it's like to be kissed by an English woman - what do Russians know?! - and a taurean too don't forget, (we know how to do these things properly), come here!.....

<that should keep her quiet for a while>

"turn up and sing" woofy? Well I've sung & been turned out once or twice...Elton John's songs are the best for me, most of them are in a good range for my squawking...
oh dear looks like shaney's having a spot of bother remembering the code word for the door

It's one of those days .Blankety blank screen on my computer so am fumbling round with this laptop.I've broken an egg, burnt some toast and I want to know why the person ringing my doorbell knew that the phone would ring at the same time .So I get two people trying to sell me something in sync.
Now I'm sat here and a pigeon cooing in me lug and dropping bits of stuff down the chimney which I shall have to investigate .

Not more casualties ! We'll have to set a walk in centre .
Hope you are all ok anyway ,warm and muggy here. T.pip for now ..

Singing ? ♫ I'm the urban spaceman baby.......♫
We used to sing that at the bakers as we threw the loaves on the shelves :))
I've had a similar day myself shaney, I've managed to do a bit of washing...and that's it. Every time I've tried to get moving I've had a distraction so I've given up on going to the shops. I can manage until tomorrow when I'll have the joy of battling a monsoon by the look of things.
I know an English Woman who regularly kisses a Russian and she's a Taurean too!!
I have honestly done 7 loads of washing today. 2 from yesterday as I didn' t do any and clothes are changed about every 10 mins in this heat, then 2 loads for my big bed, 2 loads for bathroom and 1 load for towels. Phew!! I've broomed (as my daughter would say) the lounge carpet as too hot to get hoover out. Made a chicken curry and a veg curry for Mr N and I (yes it'll be too unbearably hot to eat them but hey!) and bbq pork for daughter. I've been shopping, had a coffee with a friend, ate an illegal crusty roll with illegal chs and onion crips (Yum). Had a swim , washed hair and am now relaxing in cool bedroom. Just seen yesterday's Corrie, loads of whingeing girls!
....and completely forgot to go to shop to see if main computer is mended!!!!!
Sad news. We have had to let Molly go. She was beautiful but got so attached to us and was so possessive that she wouldn't let Meggie in the house and when she actually lunged at her and showed her teeth and Meggie was really terrified (so was I!) then we had to make a decision. If they had been more equal in size it perhaps would have got sorted out, but Meggie is so tiny.

Meggie has gone back to the rehoming place for Springer spaniels and I am assured, as they have a waiting list and really have no problem is placing 2 year old bitches then she will be in a new home very quickly. At least they now know that she must be housed with no tiny dogs and prefereably be an 'only child'. She was absolutely gorgeous and I am so sad.

Robbie, I can honestly say that I don't notice any of my 'floaters' at all now. Intially, I was always aware of them. However, they are still there and I can see them if I look for them, but the brain learns to ignore them!!

You'll be just fine. What was worse for me was that when mine first started I had sharp stabbing headaches as well and they rushed off blood tests to see if I had a blocked aorta to the brain!!! (which I didn't). I had 24 hrs of absolutely over the top anxiety!!
It's bloody hot here. Went to Leicestershire yesterday and got some cool air and coming back yesterday afternoon it got hotter and hotter the nearer we got to home. Staying out of it at the moment!!
oh crikey, it's the ibizasounds of the laundry world ;o)....sorry if that doesn't mean much to you neti, shaney will understand :o)

Lottie that's a shame about Molly, but I know how much of a handful springers can be, I hope she finds somewhere she can settle and be happy.
ah poor Molly, I liked her!

That andy-hughes thread was fun, wasn't it? Rubix is such a diva!!

I thought floaters were just dead cells floating about, have had them for years.
what happened to Molly?
and tut, shame on you neti, the andy debacle should have been stopped before it was started...he shouldn't have made that original post, innocent or otherwise it was 'uncomfortable'....and this latest stirring thread shouldn't have been made either, he knew that would happen.
Trouble is Robinia, she wasn't a handful, she was dead easy, much easier than Meggie, but she obviously didn't wan't Meggie to share us and she was a lot bigger than poor little Meggie and could have done her untold damage. If Meggie had been a bigger dog I would have let them sort out the pecking order.

"what happened to Molly? " Oh dear, Molly has gone back to the rehoming place, not Meggie!! Sorry!!
oh lordy, I'm all confuzzled...yes, Lottie I understood what you were saying, I thought as neti was talking about goings on on this site she was referring to user Molly on AB jus now, haha....
Ha ha, Oh, I see............. I think. But at least you made me reread what I had said and it was somewhat confusing - rehoming Meggie with a lot of Springer Spaniels - no, I don't think so!!
"During December I used to have the Messiah in the car"

yeah, sure, woofgang, and I used to take Santa on his rounds when it was Rudolph's day off.

Sorry to hear the dog didn't work out, Lottie (now that I've worked out which dog it was). I dunno what the andy-hughes thread was; he's not usually one to start controversy, is he?
I didn't see the original post, There's something I could tell you about it all but feel it,s best left well alone. Someone on that post has done something pretty similar.
In a nutshell he (andy) posted an fao for Stokemaverick to go & check out a 16/17 yr old stunning girl in a coffee shop...full location given.
They're all best left alone neti....the really bad ones trip themselves up eventually
Have to email you now Robi!!
