In December, I bought Norton Internet Security 2007. When I installed it, it made my computer very poorly. I couldn't open lots of programs because of it, and I had loads of trouble accessing the internet. So I uninstalled it. Or so I thought until I tried to install McAfee instead. That wouldn't install because it said NIS was installed. I went to Add/Remove programs and there was NIS, even though I'd uninstalled it. When I click "remove", I get a message that says the module can't be found. What the fcuk is going on here? How do I get NIS of my computer? I suppose it has made it very safe, as I can hardly fcukn use it! Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Try the link again. It's just worked for me, and it's what you need.

Also, don't use McAfee either. Use AVG free:

Combine it with ZoneAlarm or Kerio Personal Firewall, and you're all set (they're also free of charge too):

For those who are thinking about Norton dont do it as basically takes over your computer unless you configure it correctly which is difficult. When so many free antivirus and firewalls out to download, why pay money for something that will slow your computer down. Having a few anti virus progs, and ad ware progs will do just fine.

Maybe try a system restore to a date before you installed NIS, or maybe try looking in your system device manager to try and disable the prog.
