Cannot Display

Whenever I go into a website, more often than not, I am informed that "internet explorer cannot desplay the webpage". I know it only takes a second of two to hit the F5 key to clear, but it is so frustrating and I wonder if there is a way to get rid of this 'problem'. Ta Muchly.
