Just heard that Keane is going to be a pundit again in England v France, why? He hates England with a passion, probably on a par with Queen Nicola. They showed the video when England Scored against Senegal and he looked like someone had given him some really bad news. He was an average footballer who was most famous for abusing his own international team. Has very little understanding of the game looks like a Smurf these days so why is he even in the building when England are playing?

Average footballer? I'm not a fan of him or Man U, but I would say he was exceptionally good.
And he did support the big London club
In answer to the OP, I would say it's because he's got a good agent.
Roy Maurice Keane (born 10 August 1971) is an Irish football pundit, manager, and former professional player. He is the joint most successful Irish footballer of all time, having won 19 major trophies in his club career, 17 of which came during his time at English club Manchester United. Regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation, he was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players in 2004.
He is a good pundit and knowledgeable. A panel full of Englishmen would be biased.
A Nasty piece of work.....always has been....always will be.
He almost ended the career of Allfie Haarland (Leeds United) with a dangerous, ugly, vengeful tackle.

Confrontation is the name of the game today and he is there to represent it.
Gromit.....Graham Souness is Scottish.
Haarland was a Man City player at the time of the tackle in the Manchester derby. It was a bad cynical tackle, but it did not end his career.
Keane is a shocker - widely reviled in Ireland as the reason they exited the 2002 World Cup - now nothing more than a deliberate stirrer of the brown ordure.

Some people describe him as a Marmite figure, but that is an insult to Marmite (which at least a few people like).
Roy Keane is cuurently auditioning for the role of Santa, and if you are going to debate horror tackles, how about Jordan Pickford/Virgil Van Dijk
I loved Keano as a player but even as a pundit tells it like it is even though he comes across mostly as a miserable scroat.

Not forgetting he is a United legend that has being there and shoveled it so knows what he's talking about.
Another one!!!! ( He hates England with a passion ). Do you have proof ?
Roy Keane is to BBC Football Programmes as Bernard Levin was to That Was The Week That Was .

Only the older generations will get that.
He’s very funny, and easy on the eye :-)
