Why are the rugby authorities so desperate to protect the All Blacks? Good job we wiped the floor with them in the game.

TTT you can challenge them. The rule is that the team must remain behind the half-way line.
Haka - just another stupid aspect to a thoroughly stupid game IMV.

never heard of that "rule" danny.

davebro, if you are not interested then don't comment just to troll.
The best way to challenge the haka - beat them.
As the haka is basically intimidatory maybe they are punishing the wrong side.
Danny is correct........challenge them with what you will, but do it in your own half.

Haka is a splendid, exciting and entertaining prelude to the game.....let it continue.

foo ! that is because we dont listen to the radio before unleashing ourselves on AB - ho hum normal day on AB then

it wasnt for reacting to the haka - one is meant to apparently [radio four again this morning] - you cant cross the half way line

foo again as our fave poster may say !

did I just hear a troll say: ' dont troll!' ? - deffo normal day on AB
Apparently the haka requires a challenge but it mustn't be too frightening by stepping over a line.

it's been done lots of times, notably Ireland bumped right into the leader of the haka once, don't remember them getting fined. When was this rule introduced? first I've heard of it.
I think the Haka is a bit OTT. What, are we just suppose to sit there and accept it? Pfffft. Make a V.. for VICTORY then win.
I think a good response to the haka would be simply for the opposing team to turn their backs and cover their ears.
This shape would be good from the overhead camera ...

I love all the hakas ,England could respond with a morris dance lol
If you turn your back and close your ears, you're showing them that it's affecting you. If you give back the same energy, without performing but instead creating a V to imply you're surrounding them, that sends a more mature and respectful message.

Is the haka not a bit dated? Does it have a place in rugby?

It's quite traditional but i think fining the England players for creating a V (or going over the half way line??) is pathetic.
Ellipsis is that a vertical set of boussums?
I preferred the old version ...
