Despite one of you Villa fans snidely suggesting, earlier in the season, that the Villains and the Baggies may swap places with the Dingles - or to give them their proper name 'The Clarets' - i will be rooting for your lot this afternoon. I have never liked Derby County, never been keen on Lampard, the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osborne is a Villa fan, as is, apparently, our future King, they do play in a shade of Claret and Blue and, most importantly, should they lift the trophy, i win £260. I placed 2 accas on Saturday on Celtic, Tranmere, Charlton and Villa; the first was outright wins in 90 mins and Tranmere let that one down, the second was all 4 to lift the trophies. So, i've been perfecting my midlands accent, i have my Claret and Blue scarf at the ready and i've said my prayers to Lady Luck. Come on you Villains :-)

Who are The Baggies?
West Bromwich Albion, Tilly.
Thank you, Melv. I suppose I could have googled that but I 'love' talking about football. :-)
Ken, how did you manage to win nearly £300 pounds with a fiver on a 2-1 win for Villa @ 15/2.

I can't work that out.
Yabba Dabba Doo were back where we belong.

Never mind Hopkirk, there's always next season.
Well done with the betting, Ken.
The Wolves have always been the Dingles down here.

Those diving seals have done it!!
Wonder if dean smith got what it takes in the prem.
Wonder if dean smith got what it takes in the prem.

We'll find out next season, piggynose.
I have a fiver that says that Wolves (aka Portugal 'B') will finish higher in the Prem than the Vanilla next season, Tony?
Judging on the 'Dingles' performance this season ( aka Portugal B ) I think that it's a good bet, Dave.
I do sometimes yearn for the days of home-brewed teams - where are the likes of Bully now ... ?
Well done to your team MrAV... I'm happy for you... Ole's probably quaking already.
Ole will sort his team out I'm sure, Arky.

The Villa have two home brewed, Dave. The manager Deano and Jack Grealish.
I sometimes hear Bully on BBC WM sports.

Tilly, you obviously didn't read my opening post correctly. On Saturday i put 2 accumulators on; Celtic, Tranmere, Charlton and Aston Villa to win outright in 90 minutes and the same 4 teams to 'lift the respective trophies'. As Tranmere needed extra time to win through, the first acca was a loser but with Villa winning today, the 2nd acca was a winner and i cleared just under £260. Then my fiver on a 2-1 result yielded a further £42.50
Far too many Dingles knocking about is all i can say :-)

They get everywhere, Ken.
David Cameron is pleased The Hammers did it.
^ Lol
Thank you, Ken. I didn't understand that it was an accumulator thing. I have no experience of betting. It's all greek to me. :-)

Well done. That was a nice sum of money to come by.

Yeah, thanks Tilly. Those 'accumulator things' are great when they come up :-)
Yeah well done to you Ken, I don't follow betting either but didn't say well done to you my friend. ooops.
