I would like to buy a full golf suit in Gor-tex but it's much too pricey for me.Could anyone suggest a comparable material that's a lot cheaper?
Thanks !!

Sorry for the slow reply, but thanks for all of your answers.I do appreciate that there are cheaper suits around as indicated in your posts and that they are waterproofed, but the cheaper ones are done "chemically" and will eventually wash out.I was hoping that since my last suit purchase the "material technology" had advanced similar to Gor-tex,and someone could suggest a brand that had similar qualities but cheaper. Thanks !

Hi there #10,funny you should say that.I was thinking after I sent my original post "how often do i get caught out in the rain to warrant an expensive golf suit?"Not often but I'm nearly always cold in winter,I have a Pro-Quip(suit)the same as you,I've lost a few pounds around the waist and the jacket is now a bit baggy and gets in the way when putting.Do you ever wash your jacket.I play on a course that's on a clay sub-soil and it splashes onto the trousers and "stains"
them so they have to be washed Brushing when dry doesn't work. Thanks !
