I wonder what odds the bookies would give on Bradley Wiggins?
Does Andy Murray qualify as a personality?
Doubt it Zac, he doesnt have one does he?

I can't like Andy Murray no matter what he acheives. If it were really about "personality" I'd like Nicola Adams to win. She had plenty of it.
Mo for me....what a great athlete and genuinely nice fella :0)
Again....no shoota's.

I think Bob Braithwaite should get it.

Odds are 2/5 on for Bradley Wiggins
5/1 for Mo
10/1 for Andy Murray and Jessica Ennis
25/1 bar
Ben Ainslie for me.
I prefer the old days when you wrote in with your favourite, whoever it was. I don't like that I have to pick from a 'selected' 12. As it happens I'd vote for Wiggo, but if there was any die hard footie or cricket fan out there, who do they vote for? Of course it is much easier for a computer to add up the votes on the night, rather than have loads of real people open loads of letters. Ah, the good old days!
Jessica Ennis all day long
Its got to be Jess Ennis, apart from being a super athlete, she's also from Sheffield....
For me it has to be Jessica Ennis.
Ellie Simmonds for me, she has bags of personality
they don't have to have personality, it's just so they don't have to call it "Sportsman, Sportswoman or Sportschild of the Year".
Going to be a very difficult decision this year.

I think I would probably go for Bradley, but I would be perfectly happy if Jessica, Mo or Ellie get it.....
Question Author
No, personality doesn't usually come into it.

But nevertheless I think I'll vote for Mo Farah although I would also love to see Chris Hoy honoured again - he's such a great athlete. Maybe he'll get a life time award sometime in the future.
None of those. How about Laura Trott who not only won 2 gold medals but is still winning post olympics.
In what has been the most successful year in living memory by sportsmen and athletes from these Isles it has to be Bradley Wiggins, the first British rider to win the Tour De France.
When a man already knighted for similar achievements hails it "the greatest achievement by any British sportsperson ever" you know it's pretty much nailed on.
Arise Sir Bradley of Kilburn! (Knighthood in the post)
Nothing is nailed on in a public vote.
Hence the words 'pretty much'......

Take a look at the odds posted by Maidup. The bookies are rarely wrong in these types of contest.
