My friend and i, pre Covid (of course) had discussed doing the full 4 days again, this year. Sadly not to be and i do envy those few lucky enough to be granted entry :-(

2.10 Don; Moss Gill @ 10/3 (Rev f/c with Dakota Gold)
2.40 Don; Lexington Warfare @ 14/1 (Rev f/c with Late Arrival)
3.15 Don; Bounce The Blues @ 8/1 (Rev f/c with Althiqa)
3.45 Don; Data Protection @ 14/1 (Rev f/c with Strait Of Hormuz)

Win/e.w. singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £58, 4 winners = £9,380.

ITV 7; Those above plus Omnivego, Itkaann and Andonno. £1 e.w. acca.

Best of luck, y'all :-)

Forgot to mention, Togo, i'm on Edge, now :-))

Also had a couple of quid on Richard Fahey's Gumdrop @ 4/1 in the 1.40.
I wouldn't want to go to a sporting event right now, can't stand all the BS. I have been offered tickets to England V Baabaas at Twickers but all the restrictions would just spoil the day.
Question Author
I certainly understand what you're saying, TTT, and, to an extent, i agree. However, i wouldn't mind having had the chance to see for myself whether the restrictions harmed the experience to the point where it became unenjoyable.
Gotcha Ken a bit busy knocking up some shelving for someone who cannot do it themselves Using scant and pine PSE for slatted shelves for an airing cupboard. Working out back in the sun. I have done.

Win o Clock 1.55K
Tarboosh 2.10D
Raaed 2.25K
Roca Magica 2.40D
Berties Wish 2.55K
Jubiloso 3.15D
Hypothetical 3.45D.

You will get on better with Edge Ken. Did you manage to move all your favourites and settings over from whatever was loaded before?
Question Author
Yes, Togo. Everything was already there so the transition was a smooth one:-)
Have another little punt before I need to go out. Done the ITV7 as per and a little Trixie*** with the usual Acca, Doubles, Trebles⁕⁕⁕⁕. Good luck if you are having a go.

Zabeel Queen* @6/4 2.10D.
Zip⁕ @11/2 2.30H.
Uncle Jumbo⁕ @9/2 2.40D.
Tawaafoq* @5/1 2.50Ch.
Mark Of Gold* @5/2 3.00H.
Vivionn⁕ @6/1 3.15D.
Mister Snowdon⁕ @3.45D.

I was a reluctant to leave Broughtons Gold out in the 3.45 @Doncaster so may do a little saver on it later if needs be.
Question Author
Afternoon, Togo, and good luck. I've not left Broughton's Gold out - it's my main 'hope' of the day as it's Hayley's sole ride (one of the stats I look out for) and she is 3/4 on it's back. So i've been tempted to have just a little more on the win single than i usually do..........

2.30 Hay; Zip @ 11/2
2.40 Don; Cairn Island @ 17/2
2.50 Che; Tawaafoq @ 9/2
3.45 Don; Broughton's Gold @ 8/1

Win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. The Lucky 15 component of the bet is with 365, as are the win singles, but the e.w. component is with Sky as they go the extra place all 4 races. 4 placed = £23, 4 winners = £3,361.

ITV7; the above 4 plus, Indigo Girl, Delph Crescent & Believe In Love. I have taken out Delph Crescent & Believe In Love (both races have only 7 runners) and have done a £1 e.w. fivefold.
why isnt there a horse named
Camilla Duchess of Cornwall ?

good runner - reliable - bit of a follower but with her own mind - can select targets and gallop towards them
Nice teeth

instead we have Ovambo - named after the first prime minister of Ovamboland - the horse is always nuzzling mens pockets as tho he is looking for money

and Doo-mar - they tried La Dame aux camelias
but aux always came out as 'oaks' with the stable lads, so they made it easier

an Boris - who wont leave the mares alone
I think we have just had Hoof Hearted on.
oh yeah and
Wh at does توافق (tawafuq) mean in Arabic?

it means harmony apparently

I think it is form V from (wafaqa) - and as waqf gives the term for a weak form of financial religious trust
Why don't you "go away" and make a nuisance of yourself elsewhere.
So near yet so far yesterday. A nice double and a place 6 timer the last let me down for all 7 placed or won. Nigh on £40 back and the last placed would have doubled that return. Never mind try again today. Just waiting for the N/Rs to clear the decks but see that The Lir Jet is scratched. One of my "stable" selections so I will have to see if it goes out pdq after being pulled. I also see that the good Doctor is mob handed again at Chester. Will post again before I nip out for an hour or so. No heroics, methinks, today.
I know next to nothing about horse racing, but I enjoy reading Ken and Togo's missives, though I don't understand all the terms - a bit like trying to decipher one of PP's posts!

However, since discovering the ITV 7, I often have a go (with the help of a daily paper), so for the first time I thought I'd share my selections for Friday 11th Sept:

2:10 Don Musicality
2:20 Ches Keep Right On
2:30 San Yes My Boy
2:40 Don Sacred
2:55 Ches Blowing Wind
3:15 Don Spanish Mission
3:45 Don One Ruler

Am I totally deluded with the above?
Question Author
"Am i totally deluded with the above?" No-one is going to answer 'yes' to that one, Brainiac, because, at this precise moment in time, you stand as much a chance as anyone competing in today's ITV7. Good luck with your selections. :-)

Did manage to get the Marshall Dan/Zip f/c yesterday, which paid £35.66. Add that to the win single on Tawaafoq and you just about get a free day's gambling. Hoping for better, today - quite surprised at the price of my first selection. Almost took it out of the L15 but remembered that old adage - never change your bets.

2.10 Don; Danzan @ 20/1
2.40 Don; Steel Bull @ 5/1
3.30 Che; Wild Hero @ 7/1
3.35 San; Grace And Virtue @ 6/1

Win/e.w. singles, 20p L15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £52, 4 winners = £9,326.

ITV 7; The above two qualifiers, plus; Keep Right On, Dubai Mirage, Samara Bay, Spanish Mission and Spycatcher. £1 e.w. acca.

Noted that Jim Crowley is 75% (3/4 for a LSP of £29) at Donny when teaming up with Ian Williams. So, despite selecting Spanish Mission for the ITV 7, i have had £3 on The Grand Visir @ 9/1 in the 3.15.

Best of luck, all.

Forgot to mention; Jamie Spencer has just the one ride at Donny today, in the 1.40 on the winner of last year's race, Sleeping Lion. Just 3lb higher than when successful in 2019, the horse was a decent 3/10 lto over a longer trip at Ascot. Spencer is riding quite well at the moment with 5/19 for a 26.32% success rate - he also boasts a 20% strike rate on Town Moor. £2 win @ 5/1.
Good Luck Brainiac.....remember now...if you have a little punt consider the stake as spent and only stake what you can give away without any qualms. A little win is just a little victory not a guaranteed return on an investment. Done a repeat of yesterdays bet with a Trixie*** and a win Acca, Doubles, & Trebles⁕⁕⁕⁕ The ITV7 is also on with the usual very small e/w acca and 6 timers. May have a look at Koukash's runners later on at Chester. One of the Gabriels must go in and maybe Pacino.

Ghayloon⁕ @3/1 2.10D.
Keep Right On* @5/2 2.20Ch.
Raaeq* @11/4 2.30S.
Sacred* @11/8 2.40D.
Samara Bay⁕ @5/1 2.55Ch.
The Grand Visor⁕ @9/1 3.15D.
Spycatcher⁕ @7/2 3.45D.
Just had a proper look at yours Ken. Either we both do well or neither of us does. My bets were on early doors btw and I picked the ITV7 last night using the Sun website and the SL.
Question Author
That there Sleeping Lion wasn't even on my widescreen tv throughout the last 3 furlongs!!! :-(( Beaten a dozen lengths into last place. Things can only get better.
Question Author
As soon as you see your horse pulling, you just know. Don't you :[-(
Question Author
Just watched the 2.25 at Fairview (SA) and chuckled at the commentator trying his hardest not to slip up as he got very excited at the close finish between Tiger Star and For Luck Sake. He made it without causing offence.......just :-)
