Just been announced that Arsene Wenger is to step down at the end of the season. Not totally unexpected, perhaps, given the current atmosphere at Arsenal, but let's not forget just what he did for the club. Whoever takes over has a big pair of shoes to fill.

I think/hope they'll go for someone with Champions League experience on their CV. That, hopefully, rules out any interest in God. I mean Sean Dyche:-)
They will have someone lined up for the job already, but appointing the 'right' person could be a nightmare, as other Clubs have found out to their cost.
No Garaman, I support Mr Pardew's last employers.
When he first went to Arsenal there is no denying how brilliantly he did bringing in the French national side. He hasn't really kept up with the changing times in the last decade or so.
I'm looking forward to the Wenger V Ferguson years documentary on C5 this Monday.

Let them have Moyes he does OK at mediocre clubs Man United were too big for him and the shoes to fill.
''I'm looking forward to the Wenger V Ferguson years documentary on C5 this Monday''...................too many boring repeats on TV at the moment.
Rowan, that must have passed me if it's a repeat.

no response so obviously no gunners fans around on ab at the mo ...

I was dozing whilst listening to TalkSport and am sure one of the presenters mentioned Patrick Viera (sp?) as a possibility.
i always felt sorry for Steve bould having to sit next to happy Wenger at every game!
West Ham have done the right thing by Moyes: given him control - and presumably time - to do things his way.
I agree that they’ll have a replacement in mind for Arsene. Hopefully a young dynamic coach
Mikel Arteta
Probably Carlo Ancelotti, he likes to tick them off his list.
I bet it won't be an English manager!
How about Rafa?
Thierry henry?
Dennis Bergkamp, was assistant manager at Ajax until last year.
