i gave up crisps for lent and i really thought i was doing it because jesus went into a cave and starved whilst he was there and he came out on good friday and thats when we can stop giving up crisps..... anyway, it turns out im sorely mistaken about all this so can someone please give me a brief synopsis of the notable days of easter...... and, quite importantly to me, when can i have a packet of walkers cheese and onion?

If one counts the days from Ash Wednesday to the day before Easter Sunday, excluding the Sundays, one will see that there are 40 of them, equating with the number of days Christ spent in the wilderness.
